It’s an easy way for your member to bookmark your credit union’s webpage right on their home page of their Android or iOS device.
We’ve created this flyer with general instructions on how to do it for your members. Realize that every phone is different, so these instructions won’t be exact for every member, but this is something you can print out and hand out to members.
By default, iOS devices take a screenshot of the website being bookmarked, or webclipped in iOS jargon. Android devices will use the general bookmark icon set by the launcher.
However, if there is a special icon set up at your website, both devices will use that icon. For example, if you were to follow the above instructions on this website, you would get an icon with the Web Services logo.
Web Services can make these custom icons for you if we host your website. We recommend keeping it simple and using your logo on your branding color background. We are estimating that making these icons and configuring your website (on our server) will take about 20-30 minutes making that charge about $50. If you want one set up, please send in an email via your regular Web Site Update procedure. Also note, the new icon will not affect anyone who has already bookmarked your site – only those who bookmark it moving forward.
