<p>AOL is discontinuing development on the Netscape Navigator browser this February.  Netscape Navigator was the dominant browser in the early 90&#8242;s, which lead into the browser wars and ultimately the Anti Trust lawsuit against Microsoft.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/">Mozilla Firefox</a>, which spun off from Netscape several years ago, has had more success due to its add-on capabilities.</p>
