You may notice email messages in your inbox where the subject line is preceeded by “***SPAM***”.
This is because the email server’s spam filters have flagged the message as probable spam and there is an easy way to sort these out of your Inbox. By setting up a rule to move messages with “***SPAM***” in the subject line you can separate your spam messages from your real message.
Check out Microsoft’s Tips on creating rules for Outlook. You’ll want to follow the steps in the section “Create a rule based on a name or subject”.
There is also a SPAM TUTORIAL here that also shows screenshots to help guide you through the process.
We suggest having the rule move the messages to a folder rather than simply deleting them. This will allow you to rescue messages that may have been mis-labeled as spam.
